The German tuner has worked its magic on Stuttgart’s latest 911, adding more power and tweaking design

The 992-generation 911 hasn’t been with us long, but if you’re already yearning for a new GT3, Techart has something to keep you going in the meantime. The German brand has tweaked the Carrera 4S both inside and out, adding more power in the process.

The model’s 3-litre turbocharged flat-six has been taken to a 991 GT3-beating 375kW and 608Nm of torque, an increase of 43kW and 79Mm over standard. You won’t see any drastic performance improvements with such gains, but you should see a noticeable step up in responsiveness – a new valved sports exhaust system will also help liven up the experience. As in a standard car, Porsche’s new rain detection system turns the power down should it detect wet conditions.

Should you take the plunge, most of your money will go towards additions to both the interior and exterior, with a complete cabin reupholstery and exterior makeover on the cards. Developed in a wind tunnel, a five-piece front splitter, new intake surrounds, more aggressive side skirts, rear diffuser and of course, a wing, can be optioned, helping to reduce lift.

The optional wing allows the standard active unit to remain operational, includes an in-built brake light and uses unique, clear struts constructed from a polycarbonate material. Almost all of these components can be colour-coded to suit your taste, too, helping you customise it even further.

One particularly hard-to-miss feature of this car is its gold chrome forged Daytona II wheels, available in both 20- and 21-inch configurations – as with everything else on offer, different colours and finishes will be available.

Inside, Techart can completely reupholster the interior in any colour of your choosing, adding high-quality leather and wool finishes throughout, alongside illuminated carbonfibre door sills, aluminium pedals, a new handcrafted steering wheel and more.
